Hot noodles, nonstop tv viewing

When was the last time I ate noodles and sipped its soup? It was four months ago. When was the last month I watched television shows? It was June. And what are we now? It’s a blessed August!

Noodles and TV—these are just two simple remedy that aside from cleansing my sadness, are also things that awaken my senses.

Before, when my roommate used to share with me her rice cooker, we cooked our own rice and viand. Noodles and pancit canton were frequent. Mama used to send me many packs of noodles before, and more aside from that.

Now, I have a new roommate and like me, she doesn’t have a rice cooker too, but she leaves her supply in the room of her cousin (who is our board mate too), so she’s saved.

Me? I have no plan of buying a rice cooker, because I seldom stays in the boarding house anyway and I don’t have enough time to cook, unlike before when I sometimes asked my roommate to cook for me.

Now, I’m eating anywhere, but mama and papa give me enough of how much I need because foods from the outside are expensive compared to the cooked ones. Yeah, I know you can save money if you cook, but in my part, I become accustomed to going with friends and have breakfast, lunch, and supper with them, everywhere.

It’s good to take a taste of other foods than the canned goods and instant foods which are usual to every student who is boarding a house.

The television which I am addicted to is the other thing I miss a lot today. I can stay in front of it for 24 hours, if you allow me to. But now, I have no more TV sessions, not for even one hour. I’m not anymore updated with the latest (showbiz, politics, technology, places, etc), but thanks to the accessible internet/web where I get the up-to-the-minute news.

But anyways, I am serious that at this very moment I want to eat noodles again while facing the television. This I posted in Facebook and I’ll ask from you this time in blogger, “Could you give me cooked noodles and let me borrow your TV for one day?”
