"Ber" (a reminder how fast time runs)
What comes to mind when “ber” month starts? Nothing else but Christmas, right? When “ber” ticks, we think that time runs so fast. Yesterday was January, today is December, and tomorrow will be a new year. Yesterday we were fresh college enrollees, now we are in the last year, and tomorrow we will march.
Isn’t it amazing that when you think of yesterday, you see yourself crawling, asking for milk or food from your parents, innocent, and shameless. And today, you can’t imagine that you’ve grown up, that you reached this age. Before, you were cramming to spell words such as house, flower, animal, and started memorizing the alphabet and numbers. But now, you learn to correctly spell and pronounce terms such as rendezvous, facade, coleslaw, and more.
The time that passes indicates that we are learning even the most complicated objects in this world. But as we grow older, we also experience the most painful things in life. When we were kids, we cried because we were not allowed to take a bath in the sea, or because our parents did not buy the toys we wanted to have. We kept on insisting, we rolled on the floor, but our parents stayed stiff without minding our tears. Now that we are matured, we cried because we are betrayed, we are stubbed back, we are hurt by others.
But this is part of life. We have to endure it. We have no escape from problems. These are challenges that require effort and self-belief from us. These things make us more human, and in fact, we have to be thankful with it.
