Its influence
“Ipaagi lang ug lakbay-lakbay, patid labay-labay sa lata nga gamay, ang mga kahilayan nga milumay kang dodong ug inday…”
Hearing this line makes me recall my old habit when I was still in my secondary years. Every afternoon, after the whole day stay at school, I used to listen to many of the Bisrock songs.
It was the favorite of the male teenagers in the place, my as well. Why I like Bisrock is because it speaks of reality. Sounds more believable because of the dialect used where everyone who can hear it will instantly get the message of the song. Even the young ones can immediately understand it.
Some artists convey meanings in humorous lyrics, while some comes out too serious with their compositions. Bisrock songs are easy to memorize, thus, it is closer to the hearts of the Visayan people, especially to the Cebuanos .
