Violet everywhere
When was the start of peoples’ addiction to violet shirts?
Well, as far as my memory is concern, violet invasion started when the Coca-Cola Company introduced a promo that offers free t-shirts to its customers. A chance to win these shirts is found in some of the products’ lucky caps.
There were actually a lot of colors to choose to, but the violet one which has a print of “a coke a day, keeps the doctor away” was the widely selected.
Violet is seen everywhere, whether you’re inside the campus, in the boulevard, downtown, church, etc. And as observed around the university, many course and organization t-shirts are in violet/purple, because of the trend and its nice effect when worn.
So I won’t be surprised if someday, I will see someone in the university wearing full violet—from head to foot…the smiley graphics in purple and even sunrise in violet raises. Impossible to hear but these might happen.
Violet is definitely the theme of the season and the color of the majority.
