"Treasure", such a very precious word, isn't it? It does not only speaks of wealth and possession, but it is you, yourself!

This perhaps, is the biggest thing I discovered about my self when I attended a certain camp just last two weeks in Cebu. In my whole existence, I never thought of a treasure in me. All I know is that, I am just an ordinary person passing by the lane with only less importance. Simply that way!

But the time of realization happened during our first group sharing in the cabin, the place where we stayed. At that moment, we reflect on one of the parables in the Bible which talks about the pearl, a very precious treasure which could only be found inside a big shell in the middle of a very deep sea. In the parable, there is a man who's willing to risk his life just to get the pearl. We then discovered that the man is Jesus, who's willing to do everything in order to get and save his people, his most important treasures.

As our sharing continued, there were these words which hit me most, coming from the mouth of our leader. When she said this, I was really struck--"You are a treasure to somebody". Honestly, my tears fell down when I heard those, because as far as I thought of my self, I am only a small object similar to a pebble in the shore.
Wow, I cannot explain my emotion that time! I felt like deeply enlightened.

So now, I realize that those thoughts about myself were all wrong. Now I know that I am a treasure, and I know the people who value me most.

So if you estimate yourself as nobody, think again and change that outlook in life. Because you are a very important element, you are of great value, you are a treasure!
