They stay
When I arrived to the boarding house last week, I heard that some of the boarders will stop schooling, some will transfer to another schools, while some will transfer to other houses. Even my roommate moves to another house because of the increased payment and because her younger sister is now enrolling in college.
It was sad hearing this because these people have become part of my 3rd year college life, and they became close to my hearts as I treat them my brothers and sisters.
My longest stay ever is in this house with the group, so it won’t be easy to accept the report. But when I entered the gate this morning, I saw a scene that I missed so much. My old board mates gathered around the table and talked. I was lightened up because though some may be leaving, yet, there are still many who remain. I’m glad they are staying, ‘cause I know we’ll have more moments to share.
And I said to my self, I won’t transfer to another house. This will be my 6th and final niche. I’m already acquainted with the things in this compound, with the environment and with the people.
