I’m sorry, thank you, goodbye
The first two phrases are easy to express, but the last one is hard to utter, especially if it’s intended for people who in their ways have brought various changes in you, have inspired you, have influenced you, people you love, people who are hard to say “goodbye” to.
Kuya Junrell, Puldo, Marvin, Papa Christian, I’m glad that God let me know you and be your friend. The years we had, the memories we shared, all those will never ever be forgotten.
This post is for you because you are special to me. And since it’s here, I’d like to say everything nalang (lubos-lubusin ko na, hehe).
The publication has become the door to meet each other, and we’ve been together for years now, so I must say that I know a bit of you. And I want to tell it here so that you will feel how much I care and love you, though for many instances, I refuse to show it.
Kuya,
You know a lot of things, and that’s why I salute you. Your leadership in TN is exceptional. You remain patient and understanding despite our different attitudes.
You talked about your love life often, especially when we walk together in going to our boarding houses. You’ve been put into the seat of decision making, whether where and who to choose, but you stick to your priority.
I appreciate those treats from you kuya, those already are big things to me. Thanks for that, bongga kang mang-libre kuya! Everyone would conclude that.
But you’ll be leaving the country soon. You know I felt jealous with you kuya because I also wish to work abroad and earn dollars, lolz! The occasion that you didn’t march during your graduation was bartered with a promise—a job that everyone seeks to have. 75 percent of my instinct says that you will find your woman in that place.
Sorry for my lies kuya, hehe… I don’t want to say “good luck” but “God blesses you” kuya!
Puldo,
Tot, I didn’t mean to cause the scars in your skin. It’s you who initiates the quarrel anyway, but I also want to thank you for all the things you did. When I call you “putot”, think that it’s only a joke, just a 'resbak' of how you call me too.
One thing that reminds me of you tot is “cokefloat”. Remember when we go to cathedral and proceed to mcdo after? But that was only during the past months.
You shared stories about your family and love affair. When I saw you crying, that was the first time I witnessed a man shedding tears for a woman, and I seldom see those types this time. With that, I found out that you’re a dramatic person, hindi lang halata. Honestly, I laughed at you that time, but at the same time, I was touched with your action.
I know that you love truly but don’t give everything, leave something for your self, because like what you had experienced, you were left alone.
You’re a computer techie, and you deserve a position in this business. You’ll have future in this arena tot. Sorry again for the wounds, scars, etcetera. It's all your fault! hehe....
Marvin,
You always make me laugh marv, thanks for that! You’re a true journalist, I admire the way you write in radio, tv, and print media.
You were always bullied as “pobre” but believe that you will become richer than them because you’re hard-working. While studying, you work at morning and night.
I remember, we talked one night and you asked me why I have a silent love life, but I just smiled. Then you advised me not to set standards, because the one we least expected is the person given to us.
Continue bringing smiles and laughter to many faces marv. This farewell party, I’m looking forward to see you crying. I haven’t seen that yet, hehe..
A spot in the media industry is waiting for you marv because you’re a qualified journalist.
Christian,
You’re silent, a mysterious type. But you are ardently studious. Biology is a difficult course, but you made it until the end. You can sacrifice sleepless nights just to make sure that you will pass the exam on the next day, or submit the requirements of the subjects.
Ang hindi alam ng marami is that, you’re noisy when you’re in the mood and when you’re with people whom you can get along with, or with the group where you feel you really belong to.
Papa Christian, you’re smart and serious, keep it up! You’re different from other persons I know. I never heard of you having argue with others. Xian, many people like your attitude.
Thank you for designing our t-shirt. You'll become an educator soon, and I'm confident in your capacity to teach many children.
These four people are important to me. They have surpassed the challenge, and will soon conquer the outside world.
It hurts, but I need to accept the truth and say, “I’m sorry and thank you, but goodbye!”
Kuya, Puldo, Marvin and Christian, I, we love you! God will always bless you. And again, thank you!
