Never say 'never!'

Every time I think of projects and more of those endless school tasks, I came to realized that as we go nearer to the finish line of a student life, we’re getting farther to the opportunity of landing to a good and stable job, to the future we’ve been envisioning since we were in kindergarten.

When I was in elementary, I thought once you entered college, there is already an assurance that your ambition will be achieved, but no, it was only in words just to encourage us to pursue studying.

Now that I’m embracing this stage, I plainly see the reality, that it’s really thorny to reach the point of the fulfillment of our dreams.

As we grow, we came to know the real world where we are living—a world of great competition—a fight for living, survival, and attainment of ambitions.

I thought college is the easiest part of being a student, as what papa had said to me before, but no, it’s not true! I then realized that it was only his style of encouraging me to proceed to college.

And when I entered in this wide arena, everything that happened were new to me—living away from the family, staying in a boarding house, returning home once in two or three months, temptations of liquors, gimmicks, and hang-outs, budgeting, spending much on the arrival of the allowance, addiction to the internet, habits of sleeping late at night either because of projects, or just because, we get used to it, but most of all, missing the people at home.

But no, I must not get affected with this loneliness. I’m already on my second to the last year and my life as student will end. I must not give-up. We must not surrender, as long as we are given the opportunity to be educated, let us enjoy this. Though totally tiring, stressing, and sometimes, we forget to give time to ourselves, we should still be thankful with these headaches we endure. Everything will come easy when we’ll find our lives in the outside world.
