Love, for everybody, for all seasons

1 Corinthians 13:1-8a and 13

If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. If I give all I possess to the poor and surrender my body to the flames, but have not love, I gain nothing.

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.

Love never fails....And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.

A verse in the Bible says… that’s how powerful love is.

Perhaps, anybody can easily relate and interact when love is being talked about. In the minds of every person, nothing controls but love. In the hearts, no other emotion subsists but love.

And yes, love is everywhere. It still is the reason why the world is constantly moving. It’s what makes children smiling. It’s what makes poor families breathe. It’s what makes the leaders responsible. It’s what makes the employees working. It’s what makes the students determined. It’s what makes the people alive.

Aside from that, it feels great knowing that in every occasion the world is celebrating, love is always present. Lenten season, Independence, Heroes’ day, all saints/souls day, Christmas, New Year, and now, the Valentines Day, in all these chances, love is never out of place.

So we can’t question why love exists. It started with the Homos, down to Jesus’ time, shared to our ancestors, and to the present generation, our ages.

Let’s not be tired of giving and receiving love, because we are surrounded with much of it… because love is still the reason why the world is constantly moving.
